David Taran

David Taran is an associate attorney with the firm of Roseman & Associates, APC. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Taran worked for a law firm representing consumers against large lenders, and homeowners in Homeowner’s Bill of Rights actions.  Mr. Taran also worked for the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), where he gained experience in housing discrimination matters, as they affect Homeowners Associations.  While at the DFEH, Mr. Taran participated in administrative trials, mediations, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. He also has extensive experience in evaluating housing discrimination claims, and accommodation requests. Mr. Taran was also a judicial clerk at the Superior Court of California, in the county of Sacramento, where he gained trial experience.

Mr. Taran has a strong background in Real Estate, and Real Estate Finance. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Taran worked in the mortgage industry for several wholesale mortgage brokers and direct lenders. He has experience with all aspects of real estate transactions, and reviewing loan documents. He is familiar with escrow procedures, closings, and title issues.

In addition, Mr. Taran has experience in drafting various types of agreements for business entities, including non-compete agreements, non-disclosure agreements, independent contractor agreements, and many other types of contracts. Mr. Taran has also assisted businesses with the formation of business associations such as LLC(s), and drafting governing documents.

Mr. Taran earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Law at the California State University, Northridge, where he was on the Dean’s list in recognition of his academic achievements.  He received his law degree from the University of California, Davis, where he participated in many programs including moot court and clinical externships, and received a Public Service Honors award in recognition of his work in the public sector.
